Happy Holidays to all!!! I hope all is well and everyone is enjoying this time of the year. I had planned on writing about Sam Bradford winning the college football Heisman Trophy, the Lakers snapping the Celtics’ 19-game winning streak and the NFL playoffs starting this up-coming week. But I had a change of heart. I want to write about the holidays and how special this time is for many families.
Many times we get caught up in running around trying to get the perfect gift for loved ones and close friends. We sometimes even stress ourselves about things that in the long run are not that serious or important.
The holiday season is less about gifts and more about your heart and spending time with the people that mean the most to you. It’s not about the gift or even receiving anything. It’s about giving and giving someone your time and love will last a lot longer in their minds and heart than any present that they could receive from you.
Close friends and loved ones have passed away and I don’t remember the gifts they gave me. What I remember most are the times we laughed and just spent quality time together. So let’s cherish the time we spend this holiday season with loved ones. We’ll remember that most.
Happy New Year
