QUOTES: Bamberg’s Christian Sengfelder: “I think it was a step in the right direction. We had a little problem matching their physicality at the beginning of the third quarter. But we found a way and were able to comfortably bring home the win.”
(About the third quarter): “We couldn’t match them. They gave everything they had and it was impressive. We need to be a bit stronger next time.”

Vechta’s Philipp Herkenhoff: “I don’t think we should use it as an excuse that we had a smaller roster. We didn’t do what we wanted to in any game. We were never able to play well over 40 minutes. If you can’t play over 40 minutes in the BBL, you will lose every game like this.”
(Why didn’t it work out): “Tough to say at the moment. We will look at the analysis and see what we did wrong. But I think we didn’t have the energy we needed to keep up.
(About the game Tuesday for 9th place): “It’s not about energy but about the will to finish the tournament in a good way, and that is our goal.”
